A HEREFORDSHIRE teenager is still a UK Open Taekwondo champion following a successful outing in Guildford, Surrey.
James Moran, from Withington, beat Jordan Green to hold onto his title in the up to 63kg category for 14 and 15-year-olds.
The 15-year-old, who trains at Spirit Warrior in Fownhope, has been champion for the past two years.
"I feel extremely honoured and humbled not only to be UK champion but also to say I have kept this prestigious title for two years running," said Moran, who was also third in the patters category for 14 to 17-year-olds.
"This shows consistency and constant improvement in my skill, power, strength and performance as a fighter performing at the elite level in ITF Taekwondo.
"I have stepped up my training in the past few months by bringing in strength and conditioning coaches and nutritional support thanks to Ady Watts Personal Training in Rotherwas.
"I would like to extend my gratitude to my coach Steve Fedor, all of the coaches at ITF England and the team at Ady Watts."
