HEREFORD-based bowler Rob Weale helped his home county to victory after making his first appearance for them in a decade.
Weale led Radnorshire to an opening day win in the Welsh Club Championship, ironically against the club he joined from - Islwyn.
Radnorshire secured the 126 - 115 win having won three of the six rinks played.
Weale skipped his rink, which included another new boy in Gareth Wills - also from Hereford- to an 18-14 triumph, while Sam Roff’s four had the biggest winning margin 34-8.
Captain Luke Harwood had the narrowest of victories, winning 19-18.
Weale was crowned World Indoor Singles champion in 2000.
Wills, meanwhile, is also Hereford-based and had also played some games for Islwyn.
