TWO female members of Ledbury Amateur Boxing Club fought at Ludlow ABC's dinner show last Friday night.

Sarah Conroy beat Georgia O'Keefe while Leanne Belcher lost a close decision her match.

O'Keefe, from Salopian Boxing Club, is an experienced boxer and her father is coach, but Conroy proved she was up for the fight and won by unanimous decision.

Belcher fought Nicole Goldsmith-Ryan from O'Dell's Community Pride ABC, but lost a very close split decision.

However, the Ledbury fighter showed some quality skills and the match was deemed senior bout of the night.

Ledbury ABC coach Fred Florence said he was pleased with how his girls fought.

"I'm very happy that Sarah Conroy showed her boxing ability," he said.

"I stepped her up for her first bout and she proved that she can step in over her head and come out smiling.

"I have trained Sarah for a while and she is a out going girl and a lot going for her.

"Leanne Belcher also did very well.

"It's marvellous how a couple of punches can change the decision but I'm very happy with her performance."
