HEREFORD Fly Fishing Club held their annual boat fishing trip at Draycote Water near Rugby.

Conditions were excellent with a light ripple and bright, but generally overcast weather.

Most members caught their four fish bag limits and eventual winner, Peter Wyles, started with the best fish of the day, a rainbow of 4lb 2oz.

He went on to finish with a bag of 11lb 5oz.

Second place was Dave Prosser closely behind Wyles with a bag weighing10lb 12oz.

The club welcomes new members who can fish their two lakes as well as taking part in club trips to many fisheries in the region.

Anyone interested in fly fishing and who would like to join the club should contact the membership secretary, Bob Jones on 01432 358517.

Clubs meeting are held at the Three Counties Hotel on the second Monday of each month, normally at 7.30pm for 8.00pm, and visitors are welcome.
