A TEENAGER is making mark in the riding world after another successful outing.

Isabel Benbow, from near Bromyard, and her Welsh Cob pony, Brynithon Scorpion, finished fourth in the Novice Dressage competition at the Pony Club Stonar Eventing Championships before coming second and being crowed Reserve Champion in the Notice Eventing Championships the following day.

Competitors came from all over the event at Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire.

“Bryn is a one in a million pony and his results just keep getting better,” said Isabel.

“It’s what dreams are made of, we have learnt so much together.”

Isabel’s success comes on the back of her claiming a double win at the British Eventing Homme House horse trials at Much Marcle.

Again riding Brynithon Scorpion, who Isabel has trained from a foal, the teenager took top honours in the BE90 class.

She also brought home a trophy for the best rider living in Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.

The Benbow family run the Herefordshire riding centre, Tipton Hall Riding School near Bromyard and Isabel, who is 16, is also a member of Wyre Forest Pony Club.
