EIGHT Herefordshire cyclists will once again be cycling over Wales to raise money for the Blackmarston Sensory Appeal.

Stuart Hawker, Steve Niblett, Steve Powell, Richard Powell, Tim Humberstone, Damian Rogers, Jon Utley and Simon Vincer will begin their mission on Friday, which includes a 110-mile trek.

Overall, the group will travel from Hereford to Tenby before heading off to Devils Bridge before returning to their home city next Sunday.

Stuart's daughter Erin attends Blackmarston School and he says they have done a fantastic job with her.

"I’m extremely proud to be raising money for Blackmarston, the work they have done with Erin is amazing, to the point that we were told she would never walk," he said.

"Thanks to the staff, she is now walking with the help of a frame – it really is amazing."

This is the second time the group have cycled for Blackmarston having completed the 200-mile Bridge to Bridge challenge two years.

That trek involved them cycling from Menai Bridge in North-West Wales to the Severn Bridge in the South West.

The money raised this weekend will go towards modernising the school's playground, which requires £70,000 worth of funding.
