THREE members of a Herefordshire target shooting club have been invited to shoot for Wales at the forthcoming in the forthcoming English Sporting Home Countries International Tournament.
Ian Palmer, Alan Main and Ashley Keylock, who shoot at Aconbury Court, are part of a 27-man strong Welsh team that will compete at the event in Jersey on September 12.
Veteran Palmer has represented his country before, but this is the firs time that super veteran Main and senior Keylock have been selected.
They were picked following eight qualifying rounds at different venues held across Wales, with 100 targets shot at each location.
Main said he was overwhelmed to have been selected.
"I feel very privileged and had no indication that I would get picked," he said.
"I didn't think I would ever have the opportunity but I went to some of the qualifiers and I did quite well.
"I feel over the moon."
