A COUNTY bowls player won the 2015 Sutton Winson Trophy after beating Devon's Scott Eveleigh.
Tom Holmes, who plays for Ledbury Bowling Club, lost the opening set by a single shot in the final.
But the 15-year-old, who goes to John Masefield High School, battled back to win the next three sets 6-2, 5-1, 4-3 for a 3-1 victory.
Holmes, who has been playing bowls since he was seven, beat Suffolk's Liam Harris in the semi-finals, while Eveleigh defeated Imogen Jenner from Kent on a shootout in the other last-four encounter.
Holmes started off the tournament with a 3-1 win against Somerset-s Shannon Crouch before overcoming James Fuge from Essex 2½ 1½ in the last 16.
He then came through a quarter-final tie against Sussex's Alice Phillimore 3-1 in the quarter-finals to reach the semis.
