LEDBURY darts star Terry Jenkins scorched through the first two rounds of the PDC World Championships at Alexandra Palace to set up a showdown with title-holder Michael van Gerwen on Monday night.
Jenkins beat Melbourne's John Webber 3-1 in the first round, averaging 98.3 and landing an 80 check-out to seal his win.
In the second round, Jenkins was even more impressive, seeing off another Australian, the English-born Laurence Ryder 4-0.
Jenkins starred with checkouts of 102 and 164 on his way to victory but missed out on a cash bonus of £10,000 when he was just millimetres away from landing a double 12 to complete a nine-dart finish.
Sixteenth seed Jenkins, who is 51, was a semi-finalist in 2011.
Van Gerwen beat Sascha Stein 4-1 to clinch his place in the third round to take on Jenkins.
