HEREFORD Roller Girls' A Team The Horror Bulls maintained their unbeaten season with a 149-108 home win over Birmingham Blitz Dames' Bomb Squad. The final home game of the season for the Horror Bulls who gave a debut to Nikki Wild and unveiled their new bout tops, sponsored by Wye Valley Brewery and produced locally in Hereford by Silver FX Ltd.

It was a close game throughout, with both teams displaying excellent tactics, teamwork and skill.

The Bulls took the lead from the start, and were able to maintain it throughout to gain a comfortable victory.

Despite the win, the Bulls fell to 74th in the European rankings while The Bomb Squad climbed to 135th.

"The Bomb Squad are a fantastic team," said Bulls captain Becce Turner.

"We have practised with them before and their strength and discipline has always impressed us.

"We are sure they will rapidly climb up the rankings if they keep playing as they did against us."

"We head to the Heartland Finals in three weeks," said vice-captain Kim Wild, who won the bout's Most Valuable Player award for the Horror Bulls.

"This game was the perfect preparation for that; physically and mentally demanding with heavy hits and a fight to the end. We loved every minute."

Turner was named the Bulls' best jammer, with Mandy Counley-Worrall winning the best blocker award.
