A BROTHER and sister from Herefordshire have been wowing the country on their mountainboards.

Jess Thomas, 15, is the UK Ladies' Champion, while younger brother Harry, 10, is number two in the UK in the under-12's category.

The siblings, from Dinedor, showcase their skills at Ironsides Mountainboard Centre in Tillington and compete across the UK.

Both had to compete in competitions throughout the UK and were judged on three disciplines as part of the ATBA UK international series.

The first was boardercross, which is a four-man racing discipline, freestyle, where competitors perform aerial tricks, and timed downhill runs against the clock.

And Amy-Rose Edwards-Wanklyn is currently third in the UK in the ladies' section.

Her mother Helen Wanklyn said the 10-year-old Trinity Primary School pupil has bounced back brilliantly this season after struggling the previous campaign.

"She had a blip last season and didn't go anywhere," said Helen.

"But this year, she has been a different person and is very mature for 10.

"She is competing against gown ladies and I am very proud of her."

Amy-Rose has followed in her family's footsteps when it comes to mountain boarding.

Her cousin is James Wanklyn, who finished fourth at the Mountainboard World Boardercross Championships in Serbia last month.

Wanklyn previously won the title in 2012.
