Hereford Table Tennis League Results Week 1

Division 1: Green Farm Rovers 9 Ross Crackpots A 1, St Michaels Kites 6 Weobley Magpies 4, HTTC Pioneers 8 Green Farm Dodgers 2.

Division 2: Ross Crackpots C 7 Colwall Cuckoos 3, Weobley Wheels 7 HTTC Meerkats 3.

Division 3: Ross Crackpots B 10 Bromyard Kestrels 0, Green Farm Vikings 7 Goodrich Rockets 3, Green Farm Cadets 3 Weobley Eagles 7.

THE first week of matches in Arrow Plant Table Tennis League Division 1 saw Green Farm Rovers establish their title credentials with a 9-1 victory against Ross Crackpots A with maximums from Mark Owen, Michael Owens and Ady Marshall.

Crackpots' sole success was an excellent doubles victory for Richard Smith and Steve Meredith against Ady and Bob Marshall.

Meanwhile Hereford Pioneers began with an 8-2 victory against Green Farm Dodgers with three wins for newcomer Waldemar Kogut, ably supported by Dave White and Jonathan Allen with two wins each. Andy and Jack Castle replied with one win each for Dodgers.

St Michael Kites defeated Weobley Magpies 6-4 thanks to two wins each for Nigel Foreshew and Lincoln Franklin supported by Craig Preece with one. Magpies replied with two wins for Mark Stubbs and Rod Davies. Foreshew and Preece defeated Stubbs and Stephen Brown in the decisive doubles.

In DIvision Two, Ross Crackpots C defeated Colwall Cuckoos 7-3 thanks to two wins each for Colin Dolding, Alan Neads and Anthea Knight, Dave Hallam was unbeaten for Colwall.

Weobley Wheels began their season with a 7-3 win against Hereford Meerkats thanks to three wins from both Chris and Jonathan Bacon. Rob Gilligan, Jonathan Morgan and Chris Bolvin replied with single wins for Meerkats.

Division 3 promotion favourites Ross Crackpots B defeated Bromyard Kestrels 10-0 thanks to maximums from James Palmer, Frank Lane and Bob Rhodes.

Green Farm Vikings began their season well with a 7-3 victory against Goodrich Rockets; despite a maximum from Dave Gough, two wins each for John Jones, Pauline Hart and Percy Steel secured the win for Vikings.

Weobley Eagles won their opening match 7-3 against Green Farm Cadets thanks to three wins from Tim Dooner supported by Thomas Hatherhill with two and Jeremy Brown, one. Dylan Day replied with two wins for Cadets and there was one from Kyle Day.
