HOARWITHY rider Alice Hurley, who is now based in the Cotswolds, rode Karen Bourdon’s trio of Spanish horses to win seven dressage classes at the British Association of Pure Bred Spanish Horses (BAPSH) annual National Breed Show held at Hartpury College.

Seven-year-old black Spanish stallion Deseado won every ridden class entered with strong scores including a 72+% in the International Level 4 class and a 70% in the Dressage to Music.

The pair also gained the titles of National Functionality Champion and Reserve Champion Stallion.

Deseado's stable-mate, Resuelto, won both his dressage classes which helped him collect Reserve Performance Champion.

Alice's final ride was the inexperienced six-year-old, Far Lichi, who at his second show achieved a respectable third.

This success followed three wins at County Wicklow in Ireland, where Deseado and Marques secured their qualification for the Irish National Championships with scores of 70%.

Hurley is now busy qualifying for the British Dressage Area Festival and preparing Deseado for the Irish Championships in September and the Spanish Horse Dressage World Championships in December at Seville.
