HEREFORD Roller Girls could be set for a place in the national finals of Europe's biggest roller derby tournament.

The girls travel to Derby on Saturday for their next Heartland Series Roller Derby Tournament match.

Their team, The Horror Bulls, are currently top of the North West Division and a win against Swansea's Reaper Rollergirls will guarantee the city team, which was formed just three years ago, a place in the national finals, which will be held in November.

Captain Becce Turner and vice-captain Kim Wild have both been included in the All Tournament Stats, which comprises the 24-team tournament's top performers.

The team are unbeaten this season and their focus is now very much on reaching the finals.

Hereford Roller Girls were awarded Senior Team of the Year at the 2013 Herefordshire Sports Awards in recognition of the strong impression in the roller derby community in the UK and beyond. Of more than 350 bouting teams in Europe, the Horror Bulls are ranked 85th.

Tickets for the bout can be bought online from http://www.hauntedcityrollers.com/events with more information about the Hereford club at http://herefordrollergirls.co.uk, including details about how to join.
