THE scenic Llyngwyn fishery, just south of Rhayader was the venue for Hereford Fly Fishing Club’s latest trip which saw a tense conclusion.

The weather was breezy with a few showers but in spite of this everyone caught fish.

With five minutes to go, three members were on three fish each, but Dave Prosser managed another fish in the last few minutes to win the competition.

His fish weighed 6lb 10oz and Llyngwyn regular, Rob Burcher, came second with 5lb 9oz.
