THE course is ‘looking good’ for this Saturday’s United Pack point-to-point fixture at Brampton Bryan.

The clerk of the course, Wayne Tuffin, says the turf has recovered well after the Teme Valley meeting, with all bends and running lines moved wherever possible.

The first race will be at 1pm, and the card will be a minimum of seven races, to include a PPORA Members race for Novice Riders, a qualifier for the final sponsored by Dodson and Horrell at Tabley on May 18.

The first three riders will also score points towards the Harley Racing National Novice Riders Championship.

And, for the first time, there will be a schooling day at the course on Sunday between 9am and 12pm at a cost of £20 per horse.

Significant rain is forecast this week, but should it not be sufficient, Tuffin is poised to provide the best going possible, says Stella Havard.

"It's looking good, and I'm confident it'll be decent ground for Saturday," Tuffin said.

Entrance to the course, at SY7 0JT, costs £10 per person.
