Luctonians up to third in National Two North after beating Birmingham & Solihull while Hereford win, too
IT was an excellent day for Luctonians who are up to third in National Two North after beating Birmingham & Solihull 22-15.
And Hereford also had plenty to celebrate after beating Berkswell & Balsall 48-22 to hold their third place in Midlands One West Ledbury are up to second in Midlands Three West (South) after beating Southam 28-20.
But the down side came at the Racecourse where Greyhound’s long-standing unbeaten home record ended with a 43-23 reverse in Midlands Four West (North) against Harborne.
Westfields bounced back after last week’s home reverse to Quorn with a 2-0 win at Walsall Wood where Brad Birch and Joel Edwards were on target.
But Pegasus have now gone four games without a win in the West Midlands League Premier Division after being held 1-1 at Willenhall Town.
Unbeaten Lye Town inflicted a 3-1 reverse on Wellington while Bromyard Town were battered 5-1 at home by Dudley Town.
Bartestree remain in third place in Division One after winning 4-2 at Gornal Reserves.
Lads Club bounced back after a disappointing run with a 3-0 success at Hanwood, but Ledbury, who beat Lads Club last week, conceded seven with just one in reply at Trysull.
