Four out of four for Luctonians but Hereford lose top spot after draw at Barkers Butts
LUCTONIANS made it four out of four to maintain their perfect start in National Two North.
The Herefordshire side travelled to Dudley Kingswinford and returned with a 30-24 victory.
But with four other sides also having four victories, the Mortimer Park club have to be content with fifth place in the table for the moment.
Hereford are a place better off in Midlands One West after being knocked off top spot following a 24-24 draw at Barkers Butts.
Ross maintained a county progression by moving to third place in Gloucester after winning their third game out of three, 19-0 at Cotham Park.
Herefordshire also has two sides in the second round of the Midlands Junior Vase.
Bromyard enjoyed a home walk-over against Claverdon while Greyhound had to work a bit harder before achieving a 33-17 success against Redditch.
Westfields’ Midland Alliance revival stalled when they were beaten 1-0 at home Quorn.
And Pegasus rounded off a disappointing winless week in the West Midlands League Premier Division when, despite goals from Cory Hyde and Anthony Robbins, they were held to a 2-2 home draw by Wellington Amateurs.
Bromyard Town maintained their top-10 place despite dropping points in a 1-1 home draw with Shawbury United.
But the divisional plaudits go to Wellington who marked Derek Williams’ first home game back in charge with a 7-2 win over Bilston Town.
Bartestree are up to third in the Division One table after winning 6-2 at Mahal.
And this week’s county bragging rights go to Ledbury Town who beat Lads Club 6-2 at New Street.
