ASHLEY Edwards has won the Herefordshire Champion of Champions trophy.
The Brimfield player beat Paul Rainthorpe (Ross-on-Wye) when 14 of the 17 county clubs entered the competition at Weobley BC.
Rainthorpe took an early lead, winning 11 of the first 17 ends to lead 17-13 but Edwards responded by Ashley responded by picking up a two, three and three to win the final three ends.
The semi-finals had also been tight affairs with Edwards beating John Harris (Leominster) 21-18 over 26 ends and Rainthorpe overcoming David Bithell (Kington) 21-12 over 23 ends.

Quarter-Final: D Bithell beat J Hargest 21-10, P Rainthorpe beat J Scamp 21-11, J Harris beat M Holmes 21-19, A Edwards (Brimfield) beat P Powell (Eardisland) 21-12.
Semi-Final: P Rainthorpe beat D Bithell 21-12, A Edwards beat J Harris 21-18.
Final: A Edwards beat P Rainthorpe 21-17.
