IT was a dreadful day for Herefordshire’s rugby sides as the league programme resumed in full after a cup weekend.
Luctonians had to make the long trip back from Westoe on the wrong end of a 13-9 National Two North reverse. Hereford were beaten 22-8 at Whitchurch while Old Leamingtonians carried far too much fire-power for Ledbury in a 55-14 success.
Five Ways OE saw off Bromyard 25-5 while Ross went down to a 21-12 home defeat to St Brendan’s.
Westfields provided a rare bright spot in the football programme with a 3-2 home success over Boldmere St Michaels.
Elsewhere, Wolverhampton Casuals beat Bromyard Town 4-1 while Pegasus Juniors crashed to a 4-0 home reverse against Dudley Town. Wellington picked up a useful home point with a 3-3 draw with Wolverhampton Sporting Community.
Leominster Town were beaten 3-1 at home by Trysull but Lads Club kept up their excellent form in Division Two with a 4-2 win at Wrens Nest.
