Seven goals for Westfields against Kirby Muxloe

WESTFIELDS regained some momentum in the Midland Alliance by beating Kirby Muxloe 7-2 to bounce back from the previous week’s defeat.

Meanwhile, in the big West Midlands League Premier Division county derby, Wellington took the lead in their battle with Pegasus but the city side hit back in the second half to claim a 1-1 draw.

Bromyard Town won 4-2 at Shifnal Town while Leominster Town recorded their first success of the season with a 4-1 win at St Martins.

In Division Two, Ledbury Town beat Penkridge Town 3-0 and Lads Club beat Malvern Town Res 6-3 while Bartestree drew 3-3 at home with Riverway.

Hereford pushed Midlands One West leaders Lichfield all the way before going down to a 34-29 defeat.

Ledbury lost 29-8 at Kings Norton but Bromyard beat Bishop’s Castle 22-5 and Ross won 26-0 at Cotham Park.
