LUCTONIANS returned to winning ways in National Two North with a 64-5 pounding of basement club Huddersfield. It was a good day, too, for Hereford who beat local rivals Ludlow 42-28 in Midlands One West. Although Ledbury lost 39-32 at home to Southam, the Ross Road club remain third from bottom in Midlands Three West (South) with Woodrush losing at Cheltenham North. And Bromyard gave themselves hope of beating the drop in Midlands Four West (North) with an excellent victory over promotion chasing Uttoxeter, 27-21. Greyhound beat Trinity Guild 47-11 to seal runners-up spot in Midlands Five West (South). Westfields just can’t stop winning in the Midland Alliance and, after beating Tividale 2-0, they are now level on points with second-placed Stourport, whom they play on Tuesday. In the West Midlands League Premier Division, Pegasus beat Wulfrunians 2-0, with Kane Kahaki and Cory Hyde on target. Wellington also beat Wednesfield 2-1 but Bromyard Town were battered 5-1 at Wellington Amateurs. Leominster Town were beaten 5-1 at table-topping Bilston Town in Division 1 but it was another clean sweep for the three county sides in Division Two. Bartestree won 1-0 at Wrens Nest, Ledbury Town beat Malvern Town Reserves 4-2 and Lads Club beat Ettingshall Park Farm 2-0 to remain in second to fourth places respectively.
