Olympic volunteers wanted in Bucks
BUCKINGHAMSHIRE County Council are looking for volunteers to help bring the greatest show on earth to our local towns and villages this summer.
The Olympic Torch has been travelling the length and breadth of Britain since 24th May and so far thousands have turned out to see the flame, so why not be involved when it comes to Bucks on 9th July?
The Council require volunteers to help decorate our streets, marshal and assist the public and provide the crowds with flags and whistles to cheer on the torchbearers.
If you are unable to assist on this day, there are also volunteering opportunities for local residents during the Olympics at our big screen live action events in Burnham on 4th August at Burnham Park, High Wycombe on 5th August at The Rye and Amersham on 11th August on the George V Playing Field.
The minimum age for volunteers is 18 and all volunteers will be asked to attend a briefing session on either 3rd or 4th July at the Aylesbury Vale District Council Offices.
For more information, please call 01296 387089 or simply complete the registration form online at www.buckscc.gov.uk/2012 by clicking “get involved”.
