LUCTONIANS Rugby Club will be holding a pitch inspection at 9.30am tomorrow (Saturday) at Mortimer Park.
Simon Green-Price has been helping to shift 150 gallons of water off the pitch today.
The club have put a fleece covering over the pitch in the hope of keeping out tonight’s predicted frost.
Luctonians are scheduled to face Nuneaton tomorrow in National Two North.
“It didn’t snow last night as we had thought it would – it rained – so that gave us a different problem,” said Green-Price.
“We’ve cleared off the water and put more fleece down.
“We desperately want to get the game on and give Herefordshire’s sports fans some sport to watch."
He added: "We would rather that people didn't call the club in the morning but look at our website."
The outcome of the pitch inspection will be posted on: www.luctonians.co.uk
