PETER Rulton’s Captain’s Day at Herefordshire GC in aid of St Michael’s Hospice in Hereford was a well supported event with more than 130 members taking part in the Texas Scramble format.

The total raised was £907.

A real highlight was the “Charity Chip” where the competition was strong to hit the winning shot from the edge of the putting green to the flag down below.

This alone raised £155, with Stuart Gwynne and Ross Moore donating a large amount of this in their quest for the perfect chip.
