PRE-SEASON friendlies got underway across the county last week.
Knighton Town gave a chance to impress to a number of potential new signings during a 4-0 victory over Builth Wells.
Connor Bird netted two including one penalty, while Danny Ives and Mark Jones were also on target against their Spar Mid Wales League Second Division opponents.
Kington Town got their season off to a good start with 4-1 victory over Presteigne St Andrews.
Manager Shaun Harris left Kington before joining Presteigne St Andrews last season.
New signings Sam Pearson and Adam Webb each netted a brace for the Herefordshire side in a game which was played over three 30-minute periods on Ludlow Town’s 3G pitch.
