HEREFORD will face county rivals Luctonians in the final of the North Midlands Colts Cup following a comprehensive 52-0 win at Worcester.

The Wyesiders registered four first half tries, two of which were converted by Callum Brayshaw, to give them a 24-0 interval lead.

Keiran Twigg opened the account when he finished off a long- range backs movement, which was followed by another try shortly afterwards.

Matthew Frost touched down after a well worked catch and drive.

Sam Johnson then made a neat outside break, beating two Worcester defenders, for the third try and Brayshaw notched the fourth before half time.

In the second period, Hereford exerted more control on the game and rattled in four more tries.

Bryn Goodall scored the fifth try with a driving finish after consistent Hereford pressure in the Worcester 22.

A Levi Hughes off load to Isaac Beamond then added to the scoreline and a Rhys Proctor individual effort from 20 yards was followed by the final try.

Proctor broke from a scrum to put Declan Peel in for try number eight.

Brayshaw converted all four second half tries and took his personal haul for the game to 12 points.

The final will be played at Old Halesonians on April 23.

Hereford's first team were due to host Dudley Kingswinford in the semi-finals of the North Midlands Cup Plate, but the away side were unable to field a team.

The Wyesiders therefore go straight through to the final where they will face Bridgnorth.

This Saturday, Hereford are away at Moseley Oak in Midlands 1 West.

Elsewhere, Luctonians go to Hinckley in National League 2 North looking to maintain their recent good form, while Ledbury, Bromyard, Greyhound and Ross-on-Wye will be looking for wins in their hunt for promotion.

Ledbury go to Old Coventrians in Midlands 3 West (South), Bromyard are at Kings Norton in Midlands 4 West (South) and Greyhound host Warley in Midlands 5 West (North).

Ross, meanwhile are home to Gloucester 2 high-fliers Smiths Rugby.
