THE managers of Bromyard Town and Kington Town are fully confident their teams will stay up this season as they prepare to face each other this weekend.

Kington currently occupy the second relegation spot in West Midlands (Regional) League Division One, while Bromyard are in 12th position.

"Both clubs have got new managers and are looking to progress," said James Edmonds, who took over from Shaun Harris earlier this season.

"Since I came in, the club has had great support from people who come and watch and the directors.

"It takes time and you can't wave a magic wand, but there are still a lot of games still to play.

"I am confident we will stay up."

Meanwhile, Graham Glenister, who took over at Bromyard in the summer following the departure of Nick Smith, is also confident his side will stay up.

"We're a young team and this season has been about the playing trying to find their feet," said Glenister.

"It has taken time, but their attitude has been great.

"The players have come up from youth football, so it's been a bit of a baptism of fire, while the pitches are not helping at the moment.

"But I'm not at all concerned and believe we're more than capable of competing at this level."

Kington go into the game on the back of a 5-2 loss at Wrens Nest, while Bromyard were thumped 5-0 at home to Old Wulfrunians.
