A JOHN Kyrle High School student has picked up awards following a fantastic cricket season.

Chloe Tingle, who plays for Ross Cricket Club at under-13 level, won the best bowler award for the Herefordshire Youth League in a boys' team and, for the second year running, was named best bowler for the county in the same age category.

Chloe has also represented the under-15 team and awarded the best bowler in that age group and finished in the ECB top 15 bowlers in the country at that level.

She was also recognised at the awards' night as being the best bowler within the county at all levels for boys and girls.

Chloe's talent has been noticed by other coaches and she was selected to play in the summer for a National Festival Team at Malvern Cricket Festival against under-15 and under-19 girls’ teams, with many of the girls being from first class cricketing counties.

She has now been selected to play next season for the National Cricket Festival team who are touring to Barbados in August.

In recognition of Chloe’s achievements, the county awarded her the county colours tie which it is believed has never been awarded to a girl before.
