HEREFORD FC manager Pete Beadle has confirmed full-back Adam Davies won't play for the club again.

Merthyr Town want to re-sign Davies and have put in a seven-day approach for him.

Speaking to BBC Hereford & Worcester, Beadle says that the only communication Hereford have received from Davies is a text message and he hasn't spoken to him directly.

"We've tried contacting him several times but with no joy," said Beadle.

"He doesn't want to return our calls and doesn't want to explain himseldf.

"He's put in an explanation in the text, but is an explanation that I don't believe because he knew what the demands were when he joined us.

"I would like him to have the courtesy to make a phone call to explain to me why he doesn't want to be here."

The Welsh defender only signed for Hereford last month following international clearance.

Hereford are home to AFC Totton tomorrow before travelling to Mangotsfield United on Tuesday.
