RYAN Green will be forever remembered by Hereford fans for scoring the winning goal against Halifax on an unforgettable day at Leicester that sealed Hereford United's place back in the Football League in 2006.

Roll on 10 years and Green hopes to create another piece of history.

The Welshman will be part of a Hereford FC team that will be trying to win the FA Vase at Wembley and complete an unprecedented quadruple in their first season.

"For the last few years, I haven't been playing in front of that many people, apart from when I came to Hereford," said Green.

"At Port Talbot, I played in front of about 100 people, so it will be absolutely fantastic to have another chance.

"I never thought it would happen again.

"I made my debut for Wales at 17, was at Leicester when we got promoted and played for Bristol Rovers at Wembley.

"And this season has been absolutely fantastic.

"We won the league, have won two trophies and now have the chance for a third.

"This will be the icing on the cake."

Green added he had no hesitation in joining the Bulls in September and he sees similarities to the side that got promoted 10 years ago.

"When we got promoted at Hereford, there was a massive togetherness and the same is here," he said.

"Good credit to Beads and the staff, it has been amazing.

"As soon as I had the phone call, I was there.

"I had seven seasons at the club, it's the club I have got in my heart, so I signed straight away."
