A SAM Goodman hat-trick helped Kington Town Reserves to a 6-1 thumping of Dore Valley - a result which earned them the Hereford Times Team of the Week award.

Russell Jones, Ryan Newton and Neil Price were also on the scoresheet as the home side cemented their mid-table position in Herefordshire Football League Division Two.

That win means there are just four points separating the top six teams in the division.

Elsewhere, table-toppers Ledbury Town Reserves secured all three points with a 3-1 win at Civil Service.

Four goals from Chris Marshall, plus strikes from Dermot Clarke, Carlton Maddocks and David Price made sure Hereford City remain hot on their heels in third place with a 0-7 win at Burghill. However, City have played three more matches than their Ledbury rivals.

If it was entertainment you were after then Holme Lacy Reserves and Leominster Town Colts duly obliged by playing out an 11-goal thriller which Colts won 6-5.

Ben Pound and Mike Hillman scored braces with Neil Mill and Tori Williams finishing the scoring. Jamie Williams scored a hat-trick for Holme Lacy but ended on the losing side.

Weobley thrashed Withington 6-2 while Kingstone Rovers and Shobdon played out a goalless draw.

In the Premier Division, Westfields Reserves were on the wrong of an 8-1 drubbing at Tenbury United while Ryan Rowlett's opener wasn't enough for Fownhope who were held to a 1-1 score by Ewyas Harold.

The mid-table clash in Division One was the most one-sided game of the day with Bromyard demolishing Kingstone Harriers 10-1.

A hat-trick from substitute Ben Fuller, along with a Derek Craddock treble, led the way for the home side, with Connor Bennington (two) and Stuart Graham also getting on the scoresheet.

Top-of-the-table Holme Lacy came back from Wellington Colts with maximum points following a 4-2 victory.
