HEREFORD 2nds won the local bragging rights after thrashing Colwall & Malvern 5-0 in Severn Division One of the West Clubs' Women's Hockey League.

The victory means Hereford are now just three points behind Colwall in the division.

It was also a good day for Hereford's first team, who came away from City of Bath with a 2-1 win in Premier Division 2A.

However, Leominster lost 6-2 to Bretforton in North Division, while Ross-on-Wye went down to a 4-2 home defeat against Chipping Camden in Severn Division 2.

Colwall 2nds also sustained a heavy defeat after losing 7-1 at home to Cirencester 3rds in Severn Division 3.

In the GoCrea8 Hockey League, both Hereford and Leominster lost their respective games in Conference North.

Leominster were beaten 3-0 at home to Firebrands 2nds, while Hereford went down to the same scoreline against Team Bath Buccaneers 3rds.

This Saturday, Hereford host Devizes, while Leominster go to Robinsons 2nds.

Ross-on-Wye, who did not play last Saturday, are now second in De Crymru & The Marches 2 following Stroud's 1-0 win against Cheltenham 4ths.

However, Ross can overtake Stroud this weekend due to them playing the Gloucestershire side at Monmouth School.

Ross have won all their seven home games, but Stroud are unbeaten on the road.

In Marches 1, Leominster 2nds got the better of Abergavenny in a nine-goal thriller, prevailing 5-4.

Hereford 2nds also enjoyed a win, overcoming Gloucester City 2nds 1-0.
