LEDBURY have slipped to second place in Midlands 3 West (South) after losing their first game of the season against Old Coventrians.

The away side crossed over first before increasing their lead thanks to a breakaway try, which was converted.

A Dave Bromage penalty reduced the arrears before Rob Anscomb scored a try for the home side.

The comeback was complete for Ledbury when Matt Hallett scored to make it 15-15, but it was Old Coventrians who went on to take control and eventually win 30-15.

Bromyard earned a bonus point 22-7 win against Bishop's Castle in Midlands 4 West (North) thanks to two tries from Ollie Barrett and one each from Jamie Gibbons and Matt Swain; the latter added a conversion.

Greyhound also picked up a bonus point win, overcoming Warley 34-12 in Midlands 5 West (North).

Ed Howarth weaved his way through to score the Greyhound's first try before Rob Gummer made it 10-0.

Captain Mike Weaver then grabbed two tries, before Warley were awarded a penalty try.

But Greyhound added more points after the break through Owen Gittoes and Ali Paton tries, before Warley scored a converted try.

Rob Gummer and Matt Eden kicked over two conversions.

Ross-on-Wye bounced back from losing against Old Colstonians by claiming a 41-5 bonus point win at Aretians in Gloucester 2.

Ali Rees was the man-of-the-match, while Marcus Ballinger helped himself to a try and kicking over five conversions.
