A LUCTON School pupil came top at a Kings Equestrian competition in Bromyard.

Harriet Brick and her pony Nemo impressed the judges in the Dressage to Music Championships.

The 14-year-old competed in a series of competitions throughout the year to enable her to qualify for the championships and recently represented the school at the NSEA Dressage Championships at Addington Manor in Buckinghamshire, where she gained a second and third place.

This was a national event that attracted more than 1,000 entries over the three days.

Harriet has also qualified with her dressage to music to compete in the British Dressage regional finals next year, as well as the Petplan Area Festival Final at Hartpury next April.

She has only been riding Nemo for seven months and says her success is down to the numerous lessons she receives from Beth Barnett.
