WESTFIELDS lost 4-2 at unbeaten Midland Football League Premier Division side Stourport Swifts on Tuesday night.

The Hereford side had fought back to 2-2 after being 2-0 down inside the opening 10 minutes.

But Stourport, who have won all of their four games so far and lead the division, hit back to win the game.

Both of the Worcestershire side's opening two goals were scored by Ben Maund, but Westfields pulled a goal back through a Craig Jones penalty.

Zac Sirrell then drove home to level the game before half-time.

Matt Reeve and Jamie Cuss both had chances to put Westfields ahead after the break, but James Febery was penalised for a foul on the edge of the penalty area and Maund completed his hat-trick with a fantastic free-kick.

Westfields pushed forward with Tom Bendle, Tom Boyle and Luke Griffiths, but Stourport sealed the game when Jack Rogers seized on a Jamie Saunston back-pass to secure the win. It was Westfields' second successive defeat after Quorn beat them 2-1 at allpay.park on Saturday.

Liam Turner opened the scoring for the Leicestershire side in the 11th minute before Scott Staniland doubled the advantage on the stroke of half-time.

Westfields pulled a goal back when Mike Tambling's cross was turnned into his own net by a Quorn defender, but they were unable to muster an equaliser and it was Quorn who went home with the three points.
