DINUSHA Fernando's fine century helped Bromyard secure another excellent win that sees them climb the Worcestershire County Cricket League Division One table.

The Sri Lankan's 112 runs off 103 balls helped Bromyard to a seven-wicket win against Pedmore.

He was ably assisted by opening partner Ash Bullock, who scored 76, while Ryan Tongue also chipped in with 68 as Bromyard excellently chased down Pedmore's total of 327-9.

Greg Leighton snapped up four wickets, with James Hine and James Owens grabbing two apiece.

Colwall also enjoyed a good day after beating Redditch by three wickets.

Ben Cooke top scored with 73, followed by Ben Butler on 40.

The win means that Colwall are one place above Bromyard in the league table in fifth place.

It's a different story for Burghill & Tillington, who are languishing at the bottom of the division.

Their latest defeat was a five-wicket reverse against Worcester Nomads, who, it has to be said, are looking a strong side.

Only Edward Symonds (35), Gregory Penning (14) and Stefan Hook (14) got into double figures for Burghill and the villagers were eventually skittled out for 113.

Ben George did grab three wickets for Burghill when Worcester Nomads were put into bat, but the home side prevailed.

In Division Two, Lee Watkins was five runs short of scoring a century for Wormelow, but the villagers ended up losing their match against Feckingham by 77 runs.

While in Division Three, Luke Sparrow top scored with 93 as Bartestree hammered Old Vigornians by 104 runs to carry on their promotion push.

Ross-on-Wye are also on the up following a slow start, with their latest success being a four-wicket win against Cleobury Mortimer.

Ben Lander led the way with the bat by scoring 72, while James Tiffen helped himself to four wickets.
