NFTO rider Andy Turner claimed his second victory in the Hereford Wheelers 10-mile time trial series at Leominster.

On a damp and blustery evening he rode an excellent 21 minutes 52 seconds to win from Liam Bromley of Bath University, who clocked 22:06, and Dan Cutting of Climb on Bikes in 22:31.

Jon Tetley was the first Wheeler home in fifth place with a time of 23:39.

Wheelers riders dominated the women's race with Christie Jones winning in 25:22 from Katie Price in 25:46.

Third place went to Sally Field in 27:10.

As part of National Bike Week, the Wheelers promoted their annual Come and Try It 10-mile time trial on Thursday at Allensmore.

This is an event for newcomers to try a time trial and the goal was to ride 10 miles in under 60 minutes.

On the night 36 riders, ranging in age from 12 to 69, took up the challenge and all managed to achieve a time of under 43 minutes.

The next time trial in the series is tonight (Thursday) at Allensmore starting at 6.30pm.
