STEFAN Hook's four wickets helped Burghill & Tillington secure a fine win against Belbroughton in Worcestershire County League Division 1.

Hook finished with figures of 4-34, while James Burston also chipped in with three wickets.

After being put into bat after losing the toss, Burghill made 199-9 off their 50 overs; opener Sam Johnston top scoring with 32.

Other useful knocks came from Edward Symonds (29), Ryan Knight (21) and Owen Morgan (20).

Despite Daniel O'Leary making 48 for Belbroughton, Burghill skittled them out for 181 to win by one wicket.

In the same league, Colwall went down to a six-wicket defeat to Bewdley despite Max Backhouse making 48.

Sam Crichard (37), Ben Cooke (33) and Tom Coleman (19) also contributed for Colwall, who made 211-7.

Bewdley were largely indebted to Simon Mauger, who rattled off an unbeaten knock of 91 off 113 balls.

But the Worcestershire side only reached their target with an over to spare.

Bromyard had former Sri Lankan test player Dinusha Fernando to thank as they secured a promising winning draw against Redditch.

Fernando scored 84 before he was caught by Ghulam Moyhuddin off Greg Chinn's delivery, while Ash Bullock made 71 as Bromyard posted 250-7.

Fernando also starred with the bowl as he snapped up four wickets.

But Bromyard could not bowl Redditch out, with their opponents finishing on 175-8.

Elsewhhere, Elliott Williams' 66 helped Wormelow to a four-wicket win against Enville in Division 2, while Andrew Jones (54) once again starred for Bartestree & Lugwardine as the villagers beat Alveley by 76 runs.

In Division 7 South, Bromyard 3rd thrashed Bredon 3rd by 10 wickets but Bartestree & Lugwardine 3rd suffered an eight-wicket loss to Worcester 3rd.
