HEREFORD Board and Bike Centre enjoyed a successful opening weekend.

More than 100 people took part in various sessions with 400 having a look around the Tillington venue.

"It was really nice to see the hill alive with smiles and laughter again and people making the most of the beautiful countryside in Herefordshire," said Tom Donaldson, who runs the venue.

Formerly Ironsides, the venue now has a raft of new activities, such as grass sledging, dirt scooting, a venue for bikes and mountain boarding.

It is open from 10am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday's, with group bookings being taken for birthday parties and stag and hen do's.

Another open weekend will be held on May 16-17 to coincide with the hosting of the first round of the ATBA-UK Series.

Live music will be played throughout the event.
