PENTATHLON Hereford hosted a successful Easter Camp at Lucton School.

Athletes came from as far as Llanelli, Bristol, the Cotswolds and Pontypool to enjoy a combination of hard work, high level coaching, discussions, team work and fun.

In addition to fencing, swimming, running and pistol, the camp held clinics for pentathlon show jumping and cross country riding.

For the last day, Pentathlon Hereford hosted their very first pentathlon event, giving everyone a chance to experience the fun and exhilaration of multi sport competitions.

Real horses were swapped for something more user friendly for all and the combined run shoot event was added with the fun of rapid fire shooting.

The winning team was Team GB consisting of Theo Baba-Neal, Steph Wreyford, Ffion Priddle, Lottie Roberts, Archie Trevethan and Fynn Lewis-Gale.

There was individual successes for Becky Wreyford (top under-13 girl), Ioan Cressey-Rodgers (top U13 boy), Ellie Bliss (top girl open) and Archie Trevethan (top boyoOpen)

Ollie Fenn had the top shoot, Charlotte Smith the best ride, Fynn Lewis Gale best swim and Oscar Austin best combined event (shoot and run).

Coaches included international triathlete Kylie Mansfield, GB fencing'sJohn Rees, ex-international pentathlete Rob Flack and ex-national swimmer Charlotte Tulley.
