HEREFORD Tae Kwon Do Club earned 16 medals at a recent Welsh championship event, including five golds.
The club entered nine competitors into the invitational contest in Caerleon, South Wales, which included current national, European and world champions.
“I was absolutely over the moon,” said instructor Dave Sheppard.
“Due to the standard of competitors and students competing at higher levels, I thought we could come away with five medals.
“These results are purely down to hard work and commitment.”
Among the most notable performances were Ebony Griffin, who came away with gold and silver in her first adult competition.
Molly Higginbottom won silver and gold in her first competition and Grace Harrison retained her two titles she won last year and added a bronze to her tally.
