HEREFORD United legend Jimmy Harvey has said he is extremely disappointed not to have been invited for an interview to become Hereford FC’s first manager.
Harvey, who made 278 appearances for the Bulls between 1980 and 1987, was widely tipped to be one of the frontrunners for the job.
But he has confirmed to the Hereford Times that his application has been rejected.
“I didn’t make the short list and am not going to be interviewed,” said Harvey.
“I am really disappointed with it.
“They said I had a lack of experience at level five, so I am very disappointed.
“People have mentioned my health and re-location issues, but that wasn’t a problem."
Hereford FC club secretary Martin Watson said he could not comment on individual candidates when contacted by the Hereford Times.
