With the majority of clubs involved in cup competitions, it was left to Hinton to move up the table and into third place with an 2-0 away victory at Leominster Town, the goals supplied by Darren Birch and Mike Marsden.

In the HFL Clubsport Cup, it was Westfields who booked their semi-final place with a hard fought 1-0 win at Fownhope.

Meanwhile in the HFL Senior Cup, Wellington moved one step closer to a League and Cup double, with a comfortable 7-2 win over Lads Club Reserves, the Wellington goals including a brace each for Nick Britton and Ryan Daw, and one each for John Buchanon, Dean Price and Craig Bevan.

They were joined in the next round by Tenbury United who overcame the form book and went nap at home to Pegasus, winning 5-0.

Willie Lindsay kept up his goal-scoring run, notching one of Ewyas Harold’s goals in their 2-0 victory at Orleton Colts, the other Harold goal coming from Luke Price.

In Division One, Woofferton closed the gap on leaders Bromyard slightly, after being held to a 3-3 draw at home by Hinton Reserves. Dan Gower again produced two goals for the home side, alongside one from Danny Hicks.

In the mid-table clash at Wellington, it was the Colts who came out on top with a 6-2 thrashing of Brimfield. The Colts were led by a hat-trick from Jake Mecke, supported by a pair from Adam Sharp and one from Harry Daubnet.

Ewyas Harold Reserves remain bottom after being overcome by the odd goal in three in their home encounter with Fownhope Reserves.

Finally, Holme Lacy put their recent poor run behind them, with a 4-0 away victory in the local derby with Bartestree Reserves.

In the only Division Two game, a much-improved performance from Civil Service brought a little seasonal cheer as they dismissed local rivals Hereford City 3-1. A brace from Richard Judd and one from Jack Curtis gave the away side a much needed boost, and The Hereford Times Performance of the week award..

This season’s Division Three is proving to be one of the most competitive for many a long year, with only six points covering the top five sides! This week saw Dore Valley return to the top of the tree, with a 3-1 victory over bottom club Weston. The Valley’s goals coming from Tim Stanley (2) and Darren Palmer and the Weston consolation from Anthony Gwynne.

Orleton Colts moved into third place winning 6-2 at Malvern Vale, and Ledbury Colts achieved their highest position of the season (4th) so far after their 7-3 demolition of Leominster Town Reserves.

Tupsley also stay well in contention, with games in hand, after they also banged in seven goals against Shobdon, with just one in reply from the away side from Gareth Stack.
