CRAIG Jones saved Westfields' blushes a minute from time when his second goal of the game secured a 2-1 win over Hereford Times Herefordshire League Premier Division club Fownhope in the quarter-finals of the HFA County Challenge Cup at allpay.park on Tuesday night.
Ben Price had given Fownhope the lead in the 53rd minute and Westfields' hopes took a further dive when Jamie Cuss was sent off for kicking out at Fownhope defender Sam Lewis.
But Fields equalised in the 67th minute when Jones got the last touch to a Tom Boyle flick and the former Hereford midfielder prodded home a Carl Morgan pass in the 89th minute to secure their last-four place.
Westfields begin their FA Vase campaign on Saturday when they entertain last season's beaten semi-finalists St Andrews in a second round tie at allpay.park, kick-off 3pm.
The city side are exempt to the second round after last season's run to the fourth round when they were eliminated at Morpeth.
Pegasus Juniors face a tough task when they visit Midland League Premier Division Brocton United in a second-round tie on Saturday.
