Ready, Steady, Win, the Herefordshire sports bursary organisation, received a boost to its funds at the recent Herefordshire and Worcestershire Sports Awards dinner.
It shared the proceeds of the night’s raffle with a similar organisation in Worcestershire, the Joanna Brown Trust, and received a cheque for £393.50.
Ready, Steady, Win is inviting further applications for financial assistance from young sportsmen and women who have reached county standards and are incurring further expense to progress to their potential. The next deadline for applications is January 8.
Scores of young people from a wide range of sports have already benefitted from Ready, Steady, Win support. Recent recipients have come from badminton, fencing, rowing, swimming, taekwondo, eventing and sailing to name but a few.
To apply for a bursary, interested individuals should download and complete an application form at http://morethansport.com and submit it to the Ready, Steady, Win committee by January 8 for consideration.
