DEPARTED manager Dave Cadwallader could return to his role as manager of Bartestree Football Club over the coming weeks according to secretary Dave Price.

Cadwallader left his role two weeks ago ending four years in charge which has seen the club come from the Herefordshire League into the West Midlands League.

Price said: “I think family commitments and work commitments are massive and he wasn’t enjoying his Saturday afternoons anymore.”

“He still planning to stay involved in the fundraising side of things which is massive.

“His intention is to stay involved with the club and he just wants a break from the football.”

He also said they haven’t actually replaced Cadwallader and just reduced the management team down to three.

Chris Haynes has now taken over the reins alongside Adriano Girolami and Alan Evans who will now form the management team for the foreseeable future.

Haynes said: “I know Dave personally and he’s a great bloke.

"I think he’s dedicated so many years into this club that I think he just realised that he wants to spend more time with his family.”

To make matters worse for the club star striker Dan Herbert has left the club to play for Malvern since Cadwallader’s departure.

“It’s a big blow really as his goal record was fantastic at the start of the season,” said Haynes.

“It is how we replace him now and I’d like to think there are players sat on a bench at clubs at the moment who want to play football.”
