BROCKHAMPON remain in fifth place in the Birmingham League Premier Division after a five-wicket win over Himley in a rain-reduced match.

Basement club Himley got away to a good start after winning the toss with Worcestershire batsman Tom Kohler-Cadmore scoring 70, with three sixes and nine fours at almost a run a ball.

Ben Smith kept the runs flowing with an unbeaten 52 as the home side rattled up 208-7 from their 50 overs.

Chris Boroughs (2-32) was the pick of the Brockhampton attack which also featured a rare appearance from Worcestershire's Charlie Morris (1-49).

With rain reducing the overs available to Brockhampton, they were set a reduced target of 122 and Adam Hewlett, who caned five fours and a six in a 28-ball 37, gave the villagers a fine start.

With Boroughs (16) anchoring the innings, skipper Ben Stebbings was able to let fly and boosted the scoring rate with 24 from just nine balls, including two fours and two sixes, to ease his side towards their target.

Chris Powell (10), Joe Crichard (11 not out) and Nick Powell (13 not out) all made double-figure contributions as Brockhampton reached their winning score after 18 overs.
