WORMELOW batsman Tim Boulter believes he’s come out the other side of a lean spell with the bat after a couple of decent performances.

One club man Boulter has had scores in recent weeks of 83 and 70 and his partnership of 56 with captain Ben Owens helped his side to victory.

Boulter said: “I felt good but it hasn’t really clicked for a while and in the last couple of weeks it’s just come together.”

Boulter has been an all rounder for Wormelow but has decided that due to the wealth of bowling the club has, he can now concentrate on batting.

He said: “I’m taking a back seat on the bowling front and I’m trying to focus on my batting a bit more.

“We’ve got a couple good bowlers at the moment so there’s not as much pressure to bowl.”

Owens is pleased that Boulter is starting to hit form and said even when he wasn’t scoring he was hitting the ball well.

He said: “He was having a bit of an unlucky time of it with a couple bad decisions but he’s had a couple good scores recently and I think he’s due a hundred.”
