WESTFIELDS have maintained their bid for a top-three finish in the Midland Alliance with a 3-0 home win over Heath Hayes.
Aidan Thomas scored twice and Craig Jones bagged the other as Fields kept up their excellent recent run.
There was delight for Bartestree, too, in Division Two of the West Midlands League with the villagers hammering Tenbury United to soar to the top of the table.
Lads Club, who have lost just once all season, kept up their promotion push although held to a 1-1 home draw by Red Star Alma.
Leominster Town seem to be putting the threat of relegation behind then after an excellent 4-1 away win at Bridgnorth Town Reserves.
There was not such good news, however, for the county’s Premier Division representatives with Bromyard Town going down 3-0 at home to Wolverhampton Casuals and Wellington beaten 2-0 by visiting promotion-chasers Black Country Rangers.
Luctonians suffered a rare home defeat in National Two North at the hands of promotion-chasing Hull Ionians who returned to Yorkshire with a 32-14 win under their belts.
And Hereford were also beaten 18-10 at Burton in Midlands One West.
Bromyard boosted their chances of beating the drop in Midlands Four West (North) with a comprehensive 48-0 away win over basement club Telford Hornets.
And Greyhound extended their perfect start to 11 games in Midlands Five West (South) when they won 13-6 at third-placed Birmingham Exiles.
Ross gained a welcome home win in Gloucester Two when they enjoyed a narrow 14-7 success over Gloucester Spartans.
